Privacy Notice
Last updated 2026-05-14. What we collect, how we use it, who else sees it, and how to exercise your privacy rights as an Oregon or US resident.
Who we are
Asphalt Shingle Portland (asphaltshingleportland.com) is an independent homeowner-matching service. We do not install roofs ourselves; we connect Portland-area homeowners with active Oregon CCB-licensed asphalt shingle installers.
What we collect
When you submit our lead form, we collect:
- ZIP code, preferred shingle brand, timing preference
- Name, phone number, and (optionally) email
- Browser referrer + UTM / gclid / fbclid query parameters when present
- Timestamp of submission and the source page on this site
We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. Outside of form submissions, we collect only aggregate visit data via Google Analytics 4 (anonymous, no PII).
How we use it
- To route your request to a matched CCB-licensed installer who actively services your ZIP code
- To improve the site (aggregate analytics on which pages are most useful)
- To respond to direct communications you initiate via email
Who else sees your information
- The matched installer receives your contact details and project context. They are an independent contractor in our network, not an employee.
- Google Analytics 4 receives anonymous page-view data and the “generate_lead” event with non-PII payload (ZIP + brand preference) for conversion measurement.
- We do not sell aggregated lead lists to third parties.
- If a partner advertising network is wired in (currently not), we will update this notice and disclose the data shared.
Cookies and similar technologies

You can block Google Analytics via browser settings or extensions (uBlock Origin, Privacy Badger, etc.). Blocking will not affect form functionality.
Your rights (Oregon / US residents)
Oregon residents have rights under the Oregon Consumer Privacy Act (OCPA, effective 2024) including:
- Right to know what personal information we hold about you
- Right to request deletion of your personal information
- Right to opt out of sale or targeted advertising (we do not sell or target-advertise)
To exercise these rights, email privacy@asphaltshingleportland.com from the email address associated with your submission. We respond within 30 days as required by OCPA.
Data retention
Form submission data is retained in our system of record for 24 months for quality and customer-support purposes. Aggregate analytics data is retained per Google's standard 14-month retention setting.
Security
We use HTTPS everywhere and follow industry-standard practices for the data we hold. Report security concerns to security@asphaltshingleportland.com or see our security.txt.

We will update this notice when our data practices change. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent change.
