SELECT ShingleMaster contractors can register the SureStart PLUS extended warranty with the longest non-prorated coverage available in the industry. About 1% of US roofers hold this credential.
Mid-tier CertainTeed credential. Requires factory training (4-Star certification), proper licensing, and current insurance. ShingleMaster contractors can register the SureStart Plus warranty with somewhat shorter non-prorated coverage than SELECT. About 4% of US roofers.
Entry-level CertainTeed credential. Indicates baseline product training. Cannot register the full SureStart Plus warranty; warranty defaults to the standard prorated material warranty. About 20% of US roofers.
The base material warranty on Landmark shingles is Lifetime Limited (50 years prorated). The SureStart Plus extended warranty adds non-prorated coverage during the first 10-25 years (depending on installer credential), 130 mph wind warranty (with credentialed installer), and a 10-year StreakFighter algae warranty.
